July 11Extreme Heat Adventure Race at Coon Bluff The Extreme Heat Summer Mini Adventure Races will have teams of two racing from checkpoint to checkpoint using a provided map. In this race, you will be adventure tubing and orienteering, as well as passing through mystery events. The races in the series are between 12 and 20 kilometers in distance, and designed to be completed in around three hours.
The event takes place at 7 a.m. at the Coon Bluff Recreation Area in Phoenix, on the Bush Highway, northeast of Granite Reef Reservoir. Admission is $110 for a two-person team, plus $30 per person.
